For his family, Bill was a pillar of strength, a source of endless love, and a safe place—a “Mr. Fix-it,” a counselor, and the kind of man who would give you his last bite to ensure you didn’t go without. He touched so many lives, setting the bar for what it truly means to love and serve others.
Bill’s daughter, Sammy, shares the depth of her heartbreak in losing her “daddy, protector, and best friend.” She remembers her father as the greatest man she’s ever known, a person who would drop everything for those he loved, embodying loyalty, compassion, and selflessness. He was a grandpa in every sense, teaching Sammy’s kids to build and work on classic cars, passing on his knowledge and passion in the shop. Helen, a close family friend, shared, “He brought my ’71 Datsun back to life; Bill was the sweetest man and the best at his work.” Rob, another friend, added, “He was an artist and a truly amazing man. I really looked up to him, and he will be greatly missed.”
