Alyssa Vester is a testament to strength and resilience, embodying the spirit of a loving mother and widow. She and her late husband, James Vester, shared a life filled with adventure, family, and love. James served in the Marines before transitioning to a career as a Heavy Equipment Operator. His dedication to his country and family was unwavering, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude to his family for the sacrifices made for our freedom.
Family Adventures and Hobbies
James and Alyssa had three wonderful boys: Zaine, Carsen, and Caleb. Family activities were the cornerstone of their life together, with camping, hiking, fishing, and traveling being their favorites. James especially loved taking his boys fishing and exploring on hikes. Their favorite destination was Winiger Ridge in Boulder, a place filled with cherished memories of camping and fishing.
The weekend before his untimely passing in a motorcycle accident, James and Alyssa had camped with the goal of finding the waterfalls at Winiger Ridge—a dream they had pursued with their boys a few weekends prior. Motorcycles were another passion of James's, and he delighted in taking the boys on short rides around their complex.
Cherished Traditions and Favorites
Back home, the Vester family enjoyed BBQs, with James at the grill experimenting with new foods. Though his attempt at vegetarianism was short-lived, his enthusiasm for trying new things was always evident. The family loved exploring new restaurants, with Mexican cuisine being a top favorite.
James and Alyssa’s song was "You Make It Easy" by Jason Aldean, and they enjoyed watching "Sons of Anarchy" together. Family dinners often featured BBQ or spaghetti, always ending with ice cream sundaes. Despite their limited time together, the Vester family’s moments were filled with love and connection.
Community and Involvement
Alyssa and James were both born and raised in Colorado and Alyssa and the children have lived in their neighborhood now for six years. Alyssa finds relaxation in taking walks and spending time with her boys. Each child is active in different activities: Zaine excels in competitive basketball, Carsen plays baseball, and all three boys are involved in church youth groups. Unfortunately, Caleb, from James's previous marriage, is no longer in close contact, but he is known to be active in his church.
A Loving Memory
Alyssa Vester continues to honor the memory of her beloved James by fostering the adventurous and loving spirit he instilled in their family. With their pet Thumper by their side, Alyssa and her boys embrace each day with the same passion for life that James had. Their story is one of love, resilience, and the enduring bond of family.
